About Meve
Hi! I'm Mercede of Macros By Meve! I was born and raised in beautiful Great Falls, MT and am a busy mom of two beautiful kiddos and a wife of an amazingly talented and hard working man. I was an intercollegiate athlete at Montana State University-Bozeman, on the Rodeo Team and also a Pro Barrel Racer on the Montana Circuit. I have won lots of titles on the Pro Circuit as well as winning the region all 4 years Barrel Racing for the MSU Bobcats. I graduated from Montana State University - Bozeman with a Bachelor of Science in Food & Nutrition degree. Which is why I understand that each persons nutritional needs are different and unique to them.
Are you someone who wants to make better food choices, but doesn't necessarily know where to start? Maybe you are someone who puts all the work in at the gym, but the nutrition part is keeping you from seeing your hard earned results? As a busy wife, mom, nutrition coach and Crossfit-L1 Trainer, I understand how important nutrition is for athletes, as well as those people that just want to live a healthier lifestyle and make better food choices.
Fad Diets/Crash Diets are NOT what I'm about. There is no quick fix when it comes to your health and nutrition. A healthy lifestyle has balance between the 'fun' foods and the healthier options. We all have social lives and want to enjoy those moments, without stressing over what you think that you can and cannot have. I want to show you that you can have your cake and eat it too!
My MAIN goal is to help you find your balance with food. Helping you learn to track your macros will not only help you reach your goals, but it will also help to create a healthy relationship with food!
Helping people become more confident, conquer their goals, and become the BEST version of themselves is what drives me and makes my heart happy!
WHAT ARE MACROS?
Macronutrients (Macros) are: Proteins, Carbohydrates and Fat. These nutrients make up the caloric content of food and are necessary to sustain life and your metabolism.
In short...Proteins are necessary for building and repairing muscles, Carbohydrates fuel your body and give you energy, and Fats keep you satiated, as well as aid in the absorption of fat soluble vitamins. All of the macronutrients are important and necessary for our bodies to thrive. However, not all macros are needed in the same quantities.
Each person is unique, in that finding your right balance of macros is dependent on many variables including things like your body type and fitness goals. I am here to help you find that balance and make this lifestyle work for you.
Food is Fuel, but is also meant to be enjoyed. Life is too short to not have your cake and eat it too!
